Healthwatch Stoke-on-Trent welcomes the publication of 'The future of patient voice' by The King's Fund. Providing a voice independent of Stoke-on-Trent City Council and the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board means residents can share their experience of health and social care with an organisation that speaks trust to power and can raise difficult questions when necessary. Public services should not be allowed to mark their own homework.
