The Southeast Alberta Economic Opportunity Strategy continues to drive meaningful action across our region. Following the Strategy's release, the County of Forty Mile No. 8 has been awarded provincial funding through the Northern and Regional Economic Development (NRED) grant to advance priorities identified in the regional plan.
The project will enhance our region's ability to attract new investment, support local producers, provide regulatory clarity, and advance emerging agricultural technologies and innovations. With participation from the City of Medicine Hat, Town of Redcliff, Town of Bow Island, Village of Foremost, and industry and institutional partners, this initiative demonstrates strong regional commitment to economic diversification.
Together, we're creating the tools and resources needed to support agriculture and agri-food growth across Southeast Alberta.
