If it’s fair game to appoint the PM’s wife to an unpaid government role, with a budget, without following “due process”, then it should be fair game for Parliament to be allowed to question that decision. The PM, after all, derives his power from Parliament. He’s NOT a President!

It seems that Mark Carney’s love affair with Europe may have ended quicker than a Hollywood marriage. After many of the major European members expressed their opposition to his idea of “Associate Membership” to the trading block, the language has been quietly changed and made more modest-sounding.

It seems odd that our government would make such announcements without first ensuring that it was even feasible. After basking in his own glow before the European Parliament last month he now has to wipe egg off his face and figure out how to regain whatever credibility he lost.

Oh, and the Europeans also said that they will be imposing additional tariffs on Canadian goods in the form of carbon taxes.

Not sure who is more out of touch, Carney for selling it to him, or Pretty Socks for repeating it. I am ashamed and embarrassed that he lived in Alberta in a previous life. Elbows up…..

Hard-working Canadians have to balance their family budgets every single month.

Meanwhile, Mark Carney doubles the deficit and wastes billions of your tax dollars on debt interest.

Our Conservative motion calls the Prime Minister before the Finance Committee to EXPLAIN how he plans to cut deficits, lower debt interest, and deliver tax relief.
