A big Wangarang thank you to Glam Pro Painting for generously donating their time and expertise to give our lunchroom a fresh new look!

Our lunchroom is an important space for everyone at Wangarang. It’s a place to take a break, catch up and enjoy some downtime together and it’s looking fantastic after its makeover.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Dulux Australia for generously donating the paint to help make the project possible.

Support like this from local businesses and our wider community makes a genuine difference to Wangarang and the spaces our employees use every day.

From 1 October, changes to NDIS funding for social, economic and community participation supports started rolling out.

The Government will be reducing social, economic and community participation budget allocations by 50%, while improved daily living skills allocations will be reduced by 10%.

We know this is a big change, and for many people, it may mean thinking differently about the supports they use and what they want to get from their plan.

The changes will happen progressively as plans are created, reassessed or renewed, so they won't happen for everyone at the same time. And the impact will be different for every person.

At Wangarang, we believe the starting point is understanding what matters to you. That might mean exploring different ways to stay connected to your community, building your skills, looking at employment, or finding new opportunities to participate.

We're here to have a conversation about what's possible.

Don’t panic. If you're wondering what your options could look like, talk to the Wangarang team and let's explore what's next, together.

🌟 SHINING IN THE VINES! 🌟
What a fantastic morning we had at Shine in the Vines at Anson Street School School last Sunday!

The Wangarang team had a wonderful day showcasing what we do, connecting with our community selling our goodies to raise funds for our work.

Our Life Skills team did an incredible job baking cupcakes, cakes, rocky road and slices for the stall; they looked (and tasted!) delicious. We also had our Wangarang Wags handmade dog toys for sale, and the last of our limited edition Monopoly Boards

Congrats to Anson St School for creating such a wonderful local event celebrating inclusion, which was part of the 2026 Orange W**e Festival program.

Music, mindfulness and a little time to simply be in the moment and move our bodies.

We recently welcomed Our Elemento into our Life Skills program for a creative music workshop, and it was such a great experience for everyone involved.

Our Elemento is a local Orange creative project led by musician Javier Rocha, bringing together music, mindfulness and meditation in a way that encourages connection, creativity and wellbeing.

The workshop gave our participants the chance to explore music in a different way, try something new and enjoy the experience together.

We love bringing experiences like this into our Life Skills program and seeing where creativity, music and community can take us. Our Life Skills program is always changing and evolving, with new activities and opportunities to keep things fresh, interesting and meaningful for the people we support.
