Join us at Canowindra Library for:

🌞Storytime on Thursdays at 10.30am
👼Rhyme Time on Fridays at 10.15am – 10.45am

From early infancy, reading to your baby teaches them to recognise sounds and rhythm of language—not to mention it’s a great bonding exercise.

Studies show that children who are routinely read to from a young age develop improved language skills and an increased interest in reading.

Storytimes and Rhyme Times are lots of fun. We read and tell stories, sing songs, play games and do craft. All sessions are free.

The benefits include improvement to:
• Communication
• Listening
• Memory
• Imagination

Come along to Storytime or Rhyme Time for pre-schoolers and their parents and carers during School Terms.

Canowindra Library Opening Hours:
Tuesday: 1pm – 5pm
Thursday: 10am - 1pm, 2pm – 5pm
Friday: 10am – 1pm, 2pm – 5pm

🕊Write Around the World: Women’s Voices For Peace Author Talk

🕊Discover more about the Write Around the World community writing project initiated by Barbara Baikie OAM, and managed through to the publication of the book by Barbie Robinson, Richard Scherer and Barbara Baikie.

🕊It arose out of the desire of women to speak about their commonalities rather than engaging in a discourse of difference and hate. We have more in common that the things that divide us. These stories are objects of hope – one small thing we can do to speak for peace.

🕊This collection of stories from 25 ethnically, spiritually and religiously diverse women from around the world, all displaced from their homelands (sometimes voluntarily, sometimes forced) are authentic life experiences we all need to understand.
