Engaged students learning with expert accountable staff in a calm ordered and caring environment.

At Aldridge State High we are very proud of our Independent State School status. We have already been recognised as one of the best educational facility's in the region by our peers, but more importantly than that, we aim to achieve the best possible outcomes for each & every student. "The Aldridge Way" involves inherent virtues that we teach, uphold & expect from our entire school community; caring, commitment, honesty, respect, responsibility, self-discipline & tolerance. We embrace new technology & the ability to engage with our community through Facebook. While we acknowledge that Facebook is a public forum & we encourage diversity of opinion, please remember to keep your comments positive & within the expectations of "The Aldridge Way". Comments deemed to be offensive, derogatory or contravening the schools virtues may be removed & repeat offenders may find themselves blocked from access to the page. More details on the commitment we have all made as part of the Aldridge School community can be viewed on the schools website at; http://aldridgeshs.eq.edu.au/wcms/images/Enrolment/Enrolment%20Agreement%20Form.doc

🏐 Congratulations to our Aldridge students who represented the school at the Queensland Volleyball Schools Cup on the Gold Coast over the weekend!

Our students embraced the competition, created lasting memories and proudly demonstrated our RAMS virtues of Respect, Accountability, Mateship and Success.

🥉 A special congratulations to our Year 8 boys, who claimed bronze in Division 2, and our Year 7 girls, who finished an impressive 5th in their first Division 2 competition!

The students have returned with renewed enthusiasm for training and a determination to keep improving, working towards the goal of representing Aldridge at Nationals in December in the years ahead.

Well done to all players and thank you to our coaches and families for making these opportunities possible.

Appreciate these snap shots with more photos to be delivered in the near future.

Go RAMS! 💜

In Week 10 last term, our Year 10 Drama students took their talents on the road, performing a selection of original plays for the young students at West State School.

As part of their Theatre for Children unit, the students spent several weeks devising, developing and rehearsing plays based on educational themes relevant to young children, including cleaning up, personal hygiene and the importance of friendship.

It was a wonderful experience for both our performers and their young audience. The children watched with great enthusiasm and eagerly joined in with the interactive moments throughout the performances.

A fantastic opportunity for our Year 10 students to share their creativity, build their performance skills and experience the joy of performing for such an enthusiastic audience! 👏🎭

Personal Living Dimensions

During term 3 the years 11 & 12 students have been working on a Christmas Table Runner. The students have been very excited to get something done to be able to take it home and each item is individualised to suit their taste. They have chosen their materials, cut out the pattern, hand sewed and some have braved the sewing machine to get their item finished. While it has been a little challenging for some, overall, they have chatted away enjoying each other’s company and made it a very relaxed classroom.
Below are a couple of examples.
