Hey Little Tinana,

We have made the preliminary decision to remove all our equipment from the station due to the expected flooding to be safe. While only a 7m flood predicted we believe this won’t go through our station. However will cut off on langers road and surrounding areas.

We have relocated our Bidwill 51 appliance within Little Tinana for any emergency’s so please call 000 if required.

We will keep all informed as much as we can, but please also monitor the council dashboard and Council pages. https://disaster.frasercoast.qld.gov.au

Today on International Women’s Day, we recognise and celebrate the incredible women across the QLD Fire Department who serve their communities with dedication and courage.

A special mention to our very own Bri, our 5th Officer and the first woman officer recorded in our brigade’s history. Your leadership and commitment help pave the way for more women to step into the fire service.

Our brigade is always looking for new firefighters and support members. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved in your community, we’d love to hear from you. And to the women in our community — consider joining us and being part of the team.
Together we can continue building a stronger, more diverse brigade. 🚒🔥

We’d like to say a huge THANKYOU to all the crews from across the area who helped us contain and extinguish this fire.

It was initially a troublesome one to get under control, but through teamwork, determination, and long hours, we got there in the end. Crews didn’t make it home until 2am, and even then the fire was still burning strongly — something that’s not normally seen at that stage.

Thankfully, the beautiful rain has now helped with the final extinguishing.

We’re incredibly grateful for the dedication and support shown by everyone involved. Stay safe, and thank you again to all who played a part.

We are looking for volunteers so if you would like to be a part of the fire service please message us.

Thanks to Rugby League Fraser Coast for inviting us. Was an awesome day. 🚒🚨🤩

Sooo while our crews were responding to a fire today and fast forward to getting back to the station we noticed random keys sitting on our cars, and then having that *oh no* moment when i realised what I’d done.

One of our firefighters or should I say second officer!! (me… Kent 😢🙋‍♂️) put the keys for the 51 Truck on the bull bar of the 41 Truck so we could unlock it and grab the radios.

Yep… I forgot they were there and drove off in the 41 🤦‍♂️

However Very, VERY luckily, some absolute legends from Fraser Coast Council were driving past, found the keys, and even left a note (see below).

Massive thank you to Marty and the team for saving me from what would’ve been a very uncomfortable conversation… I owe you one! 😅👏

A Blast from the past - The offical opening 27th July 1991 of Little Tinana RFB now known as Bidwill RFB. The first Inaugural meeting was 5th December 1989. 36 Years ago. The station and area looks so much different now.

Our crews attended a Bushfire today, with multiple agency’s. A help from the sky of a water bomber helped crews extinguish this fire.
