WEDC functions under the City of Wharton, Texas, pursuant to Article 5190.6, Section 4B of The Development Corporation Act of 1979, as amended. The Area Agency on Aging provides high-quality services to older adults aged 60 and over. Through a community-based delivery system, AAA is focused on meeting the needs of seniors at the local level by engaging local community partners, organizations, and a network of volunteers to ensure older persons maintain their dignity and remain independent in their homes and communities.
