We can all be winners by taking the Wharton County Hazardous Mitigation Plan Survey !!!!
This survey helps us update our plan and it assist us in possibly receiving funding for disaster recovery, grants, mitigation project assistance, etc....
Main objective: Identify the hazards and risks facing the county and develop practical strategies to reduce future loss of life, property, infrastructure, and taxpayer money. The plan helps prioritize mitigation projects, improve community preparedness, and increase opportunities for FEMA and other disaster-mitigation funding.

Please be aware of the storm making landfall near the Texas/Louisiana border. There should be no issues for Wharton County but be aware. We need some of the rain but the wind this storm may produce can stay away.
