We continue to see signs that a tropical weather system will spin up in either the western Caribbean or southern Gulf of Mexico during the second half of next week. The path it takes is highly uncertain at this time, so I just want to gently raise your awareness for now that we'll likely have a situation in the Gulf worth watching next week.

It becomes increasingly difficult for hurricanes to reach Texas once fall begins, but we aren't immune and still need to keep our guard up just in case.

We'll keep you posted! abc13.com/tropicalupdate
