Wharton County District Attorney's Office On August 22, 2016, Texas Governor Greg Abbott appointed Dawn Allison as District Attorney - 329th Judicial District - Wharton County. On November 8, 2016, Ms.

The District Attorney represents the state government in the prosecution of criminal offenses, and is the chief law enforcement officer and legal officer of that state's jurisdiction. Allison was duly elected in a general election to serve as District Attorney in the 329th Judicial District for a four-year term beginning January 1, 2017 and then re-elected on November 3, 2020 for another four-year

term. As your District Attorney, Ms. Allison is responsible for the effective and efficient prosecution of felony and misdemeanor offenses committed in Wharton County. She is committed to responsible, ethical and aggressive prosecution coupled with education, training and 24/7 support for local law enforcement. The District Attorney’s office is comprised of three Assistant District Attorneys, an Investigator, Support Personnel, and a Victims Assistance Coordinator. Dawn Allison and the rest of the District Attorney staff strive daily to be professional advocates for victims of crime and local law enforcement here in Wharton County.
