Two Rivers High School Two Rivers High School provides outstanding academic programs in a state-of-the-art facility. We encourage all students to be involved beyond the classroom.

We offer a comprehensive, rigorous curriculum that challenges our students. We have over 150 courses in all subject areas, including fine arts, Advanced Placement, Project Lead the Way (Fall 2011), as well as opportunities to take college-level courses such as College in the Schools and Seniors to Sophomores programs.

• We are constantly integrating new technology that allows our students to take their learning to new levels and prepare them for life beyond high school.

• With more than 50 clubs, sports teams, service activities and academic organizations, there is something for everyone. When interacting with the community through Facebook, the district seeks to maintain a safe, respectful and supportive environment. To that end, the District has established the following guidelines: http://www.isd197.org/common/pages/DisplayFile.aspx?itemId=16101962

It was Brain Week in CIS Psychology!

Students got creative by turning windows into giant diagrams of neurons. Videos will be coming soon to explain how neurons communicate and send messages throughout the body.

It's one of the many hands-on ways students explored how our brains work this week.

Ms. Liden's culinary students tested their baking skills and creativity in a fall-themed focaccia bread competition!

After learning how to make focaccia bread, students teamed up to create their own fall-inspired edible designs. Once the bread was baked, staff voted for their favorites. Check out the top three finalists, along with a few honorable mentions, in these before-and-after photos!

Congratulations to Ian Beckman, Scarlett Cayetano and James Lehet, who took first place with their "Landscape" creation!

Did you know the Two Rivers cross country team has a special homecoming tradition?

Each year, the team runs the game ball from the opposing team's school all the way to Two Rivers High School for the homecoming football game. Last week, that meant running 20+ miles from Hastings to Two Rivers to deliver the ball in time for kickoff.

What a fun tradition! A huge shout-out to our cross-country runners and coaches for keeping the tradition alive.
