Today was a special day at Vacaville Village! 💛

Mr. Barry joined our Out and About trip to Huckleberry’s for the very first time. Usually quiet and comfortable keeping to himself, Barry doesn’t often join group activities—but today, he was ready for a new experience.

Dressed in a nice shirt, he arrived in the Grand Hall an hour early, making sure he wouldn’t miss the bus. His early arrival said so much: this outing mattered to him, and he was ready to enjoy the day.

With seven residents joining us, we had a full bus and a wonderful opportunity to enjoy good food, friendly company, and time together beyond our community.

At Vacaville Village, we encourage every resident to explore activities at their own pace. Sometimes, a meaningful beginning looks like getting dressed, showing up early, and choosing to join in.

Thank you for spending the day with us, Mr. Barry. We’re so glad you came! 🚌🍽️💛

Everyone has a different reason to walk, but together we share one hope—a world without Alzheimer’s. 💜

A beautiful morning at One Lake in Solano, with children, young people, families, and friends walking with love and purpose. Every step honors someone, supports a family, and brings us together. 👟💜

Every step has a purpose. 💜👟

With the water beside us and a meaningful journey ahead, we take our first steps for those we love, those we care for, and every family touched by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

We walk to honor our residents, support families, celebrate caregivers, and remember the loved ones who inspire us every day. Today is about more than a walk. It’s about coming together, raising awareness, and reminding families that they are not alone.

One step at a time. One purpose. One hope. A world without Alzheimer’s. 💜

It was a pleasure connecting with Mr. Ken Wright, a well-known Solano County resident and veteran, at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s! 💜 He has participated for 12 consecutive years, supporting a cause that holds personal meaning for him.

Thank you, Ken, for your dedication to raising awareness and supporting those affected by Alzheimer’s. Every step matters! 💜

We ended Week 3 of New StARTs with our favorite tradition—a big “WOW!” 🎨💛

After a class filled with painting, singing, and laughter, our residents shared their feedback and celebrated what they created. Hearing their thoughts makes these moments even more meaningful. Every voice and every painting adds something special to our class!

Before starting our New StARTs painting session, we took a little trip back through our previous lessons. 🎨 Ms. Angela asked a few review questions, and our residents answered every one correctly—right on the spot!

It was a proud moment to see how much they remembered and hear them share what they’ve learned. Each week brings more confidence, creativity, and reasons to say “WOW!” 💛

Starting our morning with movement, music, and Ms. Myrna! 💃🎶 Our residents enjoyed exercising and dancing together, giving both body and mind a cheerful workout.

From gentle stretches to moving with the beat, everyone joined at their own pace. A little movement and a little dancing make a wonderful start to the day! 💛
