🚒 Making Our Community Safer, One Smoke Detector at a Time! ❤️

At the beginning of October, Depinet Fire Services took on its biggest project since the company was founded!

We partnered with Hopewell-Loudon Schools to help ensure that every student from Pre-K through 6th grade who needed a working smoke detector would receive one.

Yesterday, we were excited to deliver 125 smoke detectors and 100 batteries to students!

A project of this size wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity and support of other local businesses and our school community.

We would like to give a HUGE thank-you to:

Great Lakes Ace Hardware for providing a generous discount on the smoke detectors!
Bascom Stumble Inn for donating pizzas to the two classes that returned all of their smoke detector slips Hopewell-Loudon Elementary School including the administrators and teachers, for their support, cooperation, and dedication in helping make this project a success!

At Depinet Fire Services, we are committed to keeping our community safe. This project is a perfect example of what can happen when local businesses, schools, and community members come together for a common goal.

It takes a community to make a difference, and we are incredibly proud to be part of ours!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this project possible! ❤️🚒

Seneca County Launchpad Update:

Unfortunately Depinet Fire Services did not make it into the final four of the Seneca County Launchpad. However, the great news is that we are still thriving and dedicated to keeping our communities safe by holding safety to the highest standards.

We remain fully available to service fire extinguishers, inspect fire doors, and provide CPR certification. Additionally, we are always happy to speak to community groups to offer further safety support.

We have the passion to ignite the fire for safety.

Thank you to everyone for the continued support! We are beyond grateful!

Respectfully,

Sarah & Eric Depinet

Depinet Fire Services is thrilled to be participating in the 2026 Seneca Launchpad and is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to advance to the semifinals!

It was a pleasure meeting and exchanging ideas with so many talented local entrepreneurs during last night’s event. The passion, innovation, and sense of community on display made for an inspiring evening.

Seneca Launchpad is officially underway! 🚀

Last night, our inaugural Seneca Launchpad semi-finalists came together for their first Launch Lab as they prepare to take the next step in Seneca County’s first-ever countywide small business pitch competition!

Meet our 2026 Seneca Launchpad Semi-Finalists:

🚀 Depinet Fire Services LLC
🚀 Murrey’s Movers
🚀 Something for your SOUL
🚀 Copy That!
🚀 DRIP Juicery Co.
🚀 Sundays
🚀 Jack in the Loop
🚀 Pan Yan Bookstore

The evening was all about learning, collaboration, and preparation. Participants worked on strengthening their pitches, refining their business stories, asking questions, and learning from one another as they prepare to present their businesses before our judging panel later this month.

A special thank you to Sarah Stephens Krupp and Renee Smith of Thrive Community Partners for facilitating the evening and sharing their expertise with our entrepreneurs!

One of our favorite parts of the night was seeing this group come together, not only to work on their own businesses, but to encourage, share ideas with, and support one another along the way. That’s what Seneca Launchpad is all about: creating opportunities for entrepreneurs and building a stronger small business community right here in Seneca County.

Next stop: Semi-Finals on August 18! 🚀

Stay tuned as we continue sharing their journey and get closer to the inaugural Seneca Launchpad Finals at The Ritz Theatre on September 24!

Fires today move much faster than they did in the past and that is why having an escape plan is important for your safety in the event of a fire. Here are some tips to creating a plan for your home:
1. Ensure everyone in your home knows the sound of your smoke detectors.
2. Know two ways out of every room in your home, especially the bedrooms.
3. Get out fast and once you're out, stay out!
4. Ensure everyone knows your meeting place.
5. Practice your plan!
If you have any questions or want help creating an escape plan you can contact the Findlay Fire Department's Fire Prevention Office at 419-424-7814

Depinet Fire Services, LLC has deep roots in the Bascom community, and we were proud to sponsor the 1-mile marker at this year’s Bad Axe 5K.

It made the day even more meaningful as this year’s event honored the memory of Paul Jones through the Memorial Walk/Run.

Supporting events like these is just one way we invest in Bascom and the surrounding communities. Our mission has always been simple: Keeping Our Communities Safe.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and helped make this event a success. We are honored to be a part of such a strong and supportive community.

Your smoke detector is not immortal!!! Smoke detectors have a lifespan of 10 years from the date printed on the back of it. Take time to check your detectors and if the detector is more than 10 years old it's time to replace it!
