If you are interested in becoming a CASA volunteer or just want to find out more about what it means to be a CASA, this is the event for you!

💙 You’ll have the chance to hear directly from current CASA volunteers about what it’s like to advocate for a child, build meaningful relationships as a trusted adult in their lives, and help ensure their voice is heard throughout the child welfare system.

We’ll also have free appetizers available for everyone who attends! Come enjoy a casual evening, meet our team and current advocates, ask questions, and discover how you can make a lasting difference in a child’s life. 🙌💙

We want to give a huge thank you to Bigfoot Beverages for hosting their annual Crocktober Fest in support of CASA of Lane County! 👏💙

Bigfoot employees and retirees came together for a fundraiser featuring 12 delicious soups and stews. Each employee had the chance to sample each one and vote for their favorite! The event also featured raffle baskets and desserts for sale, with all proceeds benefiting CASA.

This year marked the 27th annual Crocktober Fest, making it even more special that, for the first time, all proceeds from the event will go directly to supporting CASA of Lane County!

We are incredibly grateful to Bigfoot Beverages and their employees for choosing to support the children we serve. Thank you for making this year's Crocktober Fest so meaningful! 💙

Meet Our 2026 Local Nonprofits!

We’re excited to introduce the incredible local nonprofits participating in this year’s Light the World Giving Machine Initiative - Eugene, coming this November!

Every donation makes a direct impact in our local community, with 100% of proceeds going directly to the participating nonprofits. Thanks to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints covering all operational costs, your generosity can go straight toward helping those in need.

🎃👻 We had a spooktacular time tabling at Trunk or Treat last weekend! 🍬💙

Our theme for the Trunk or Treat was big fruit, and Volunteer Coordinator Lillian Garcia put countless hours into paper macheting the fruit she used to set up the back of her trunk. Friends of CASA volunteers also dressed as fruit and handed out fruit gummies to the kids who stopped by. It was a huge hit!

Thank you to our Friends of CASA who helped out and to everyone who stopped by to say hello, learn more about CASA of Lane County, and show your support for children in foster care.

✨ We loved being part of this fun community event and connecting with our neighbors!

Meet Andrea Scofield, CASA of Lane County's new Development Director! ✨

Andrea joins CASA of Lane County as a seasoned development executive, with experience as a nonprofit executive director. Most recently, she served as the executive director of Camp Lutherwood Oregon, a position she held on two different occasions for more than 20 years.

She secured funding, led a capital campaign, partnered with their board around strategic planning, led programming growth, and implemented new major gifts and planned giving programs. She previously served as a Major Gifts Officer and Alumni & Parent Relations Director of the Concordia University Foundation, and a Senior Development Officer at CARES Northwest in Portland.

Her passion for raising funds that benefit children is evident, having previously partnered with ODHS to ensure that children in foster care had an opportunity to experience camp!

We are truly grateful to have Andrea’s experience and passion at CASA of Lane County💙

Package delivery! ✨💙

Yesterday, we received over 100 Squishmallows purchased with funds from the Eugene Light the World Giving Machine! These cuddly gifts will go to CASA kids in our program during our December gift-giving season 🧸💙

We’re so grateful to have been part of the Eugene Light the World Giving Machines last year and are excited to be included again this year! The Giving Machines will launch the week of Thanksgiving, offering our community another wonderful opportunity to give back to local children and families through nonprofits like CASA of Lane County.
