That’s why partnerships like Beat the Heat matter. ☀️

Thanks to TXU Energy, Snyder Community Resource Center, Scurry County Adult Welfare, and the Scurry County Senior Citizens Center are working together to help provide fans to Scurry County residents who need help staying cool this summer.

We are gearing up for the Back to School Bash and need help sorting clothing for families in our community! If you have a few hours to give, we would love your help at Snyder Community Resource Center.

Snyder Community Resource Center is partnering with Scurry Adult Welfare and the Scurry County Senior Citizens Center for our annual Beat the Heat fan drive sponsored by TXU Energy!

🗓 Wednesday, June 4th
⏰ 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
📍 Scurry County Senior Citizens Center, 2605 Avenue M , Snyder, TX

This event is open to any Scurry County resident who needs access to cool air this summer. Fans will be available while supplies last.

Clothing Donations 👕👟

We’re accepting clothing donations for our Back to School Bash now through July 1st!
👕 Clothing must be new or like new
👟 Shoes are needed in all kid sizes
🧦 Undergarments must be new

📍 Calvary Baptist Church (T–F, 9a–4p)
📍 Scurry County Adult Welfare (M-Th, 8a-4p)

Thank you to for a generous $5,000 grant to support this year's Scurry County Back to School Bash. Their investment helps us continue providing school supplies and resources to hundreds of local students as they head into a new school year.

This funding helps us show up for local families in a practical way, making sure kids have what they need to start school ready and confident. It is made possible by so may partners, donors, volunteers, and organizations all working together to support local families. We're thankful to be part of a community that shows up in a big way!

Every backpack, every pair of supplies, every interaction that day matters. It takes pressure off parents and reminds families they’re not doing this alone.

We’re grateful for partners who invest in real, everyday needs right here at home. ✨💚

Wow! We are truly blown away and humbled by the way you all showed up and gave. Because of your generosity, we were able to raise $4,110! This will make a meaningful impact in our communities and it’s all because of you!

We never expect anything, but as always, the Lord moved and did His work! Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to meet people where they are and to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Every prayer, every dollar, and every act of support mattered more than you know.

When we say we truly couldn’t do it without you, we mean it. You are part of every life touched and every story changed. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside such an incredible community.

There are always more opportunities to serve and give. If you missed this one, that’s okay! There will be more chances to get involved, and we would love for you to be part of what’s ahead. We truly believe the best is still to come.
