What a wonderful day at the Sevier County Memorial Day Ceremony. Thank you to all the members of the community that came out to support the event. Good morning Sevier County. Please pass on a reminder to your friends and family about the upcoming Memorial Day event at the courthouse on May 25th. Once again we will have Grunt Style, Nine Line Apparel and Hibachi Barn at the event. Please come out and support these businesses at the event if at all possible. The ceremony starts at 11am.

SEYMOUR — The Sevier County Veterans Services Office didn't have to look far to find the next Korean Ambassador of Peace Medal recipient.

Tonight we had the amazing opportunity to present Mr. Ernest Justus, SSG, U.S. Army, the Korean War Ambassador of Peace Medal. Ernest, 94, the oldest of 9, served during the Korean War earning the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Korean Service Medal. Ernest's younger brother, Billy Justus, 92, was presented the Ambassador of Peace Medal in 2025.
