When it rains, stormwater runoff picks up pollutants like oil, sediment, fertilizers, and trash from streets, yards, and construction sites. This polluted water flows directly into our rivers, lakes, and coastal waters — harming aquatic life, recreation, and drinking water sources.
Protect our waterways together! Simple actions like picking up pet waste, using rain barrels, planting native vegetation, and avoiding hosing down driveways make a big difference.
