☀️ Big smiles and high-fives in the car rider line! 🚗✨

Our Sunshine Crew had some extra special help welcoming students to school this morning! Three incredible football players from Samuel Clemens High School stepped up to join our morning drop-off, bringing big energy, warm welcomes, and inspiring leadership to our campus.

Having these Clemens student-athletes work alongside our dedicated staff made morning arrivals even brighter. Watching our elementary students' eyes light up as high school leaders open their car doors and wish them a great day shows just how special our feeder school connections truly are.

A huge thank you to these fantastic Buffs for giving back to our community, and to our hard-working Sunshine Crew staff who keep our car line safe, swift, and full of joy every single morning!

✨ HELP US WELCOME OUR NEW SCHOOL COUNSELOR! 🦉💚

Our Rose Garden family is growing! We are thrilled to welcome our new counselor, who is stepping into this role with 24 years of teaching experience and a huge passion for helping kids build confidence and life skills! 🧠✨

A quick hello from her:
"Hello! I'm excited to begin my first year as the school counselor at Rose Garden Elementary. Before stepping into this role, I spent 24 years in education, teaching middle school math, and I'm thrilled to now support students in a new way. I love helping children build confidence, develop social-emotional skills, and discover that they can overcome challenges. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our son and our two dogs, reading, crocheting, and messing around with my Cricut. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of our amazing students, building strong relationships with families and staff, and helping make this a fun, safe, and successful school year for everyone!"

🦉 STAFF SPOTLIGHT! 🌟

While we’re sharing introductions, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to feature some of our incredible returning team members! Mrs. Megan Robinson joined our Rose Garden family last year as a Special Education Inclusion teacher, bringing 11 years of educational experience and so much heart to our campus. 💚

Here is a quick hello and peek behind the scenes from Mrs. Robinson:

"My name is Megan Robinson and I am teaching Special Education Inclusion this year. This is my 11th year in education. I started as a paraeducator in special education and have taught both 1st and 2nd grade. I love reading, jigsaw puzzles, being crafty, and playing video games with my husband. I have two dogs and a cat and am equally obsessed with all three! 🐶🐱

I am so excited to join the Rose Garden family. I cannot wait to meet all the students and see what this year has in store!"

A HUGE shoutout to our incredible Rose Garden PTC for organizing such a fantastic event. We love seeing our Owl families, staff, and community come together outside the classroom! 🦉✨

Special thanks to Crust Pizza for being such generous hosts. If you haven't tried them yet, you are missing out! Their pizza is fantastic, the Greek salad is the best in town, and their lunch combo is an unbeatable bang for your buck! 🥗🍕

🦉 TEACHER SPOTLIGHT: New Owl Mrs. Sara Stanford! 🌟

"I am so excited to be joining Rose Garden as a 3rd grade math and science teacher! This will be my 13th year in education and my 3rd year in SCUC. My husband and I have two daughters. Our oldest just moved into her dorm and is starting her university life, and our youngest is starting second grade. I love spending my time hiking in the mountains or playing pickleball with friends. I am looking forward to an incredible year here in 3rd grade with a phenomenal team!"
