The FY 2017 DAU Resident class Schedule opened on Tuesday, 17 May 2016, offering classes that start on 1 Oct 2016 through 30 Sep 2017. As of Friday, 20 May, we have received over 2,000 applications! We are processing applications by priority and class start date, and right now, we are focused on classes that start in Oct – Dec 2016.

If you applied for a course that starts in Jan 2017 or later, we haven’t started processing those yet.

We appreciate your patience as we work through this workload spike, and will return calls and answer help desk questions as soon as we can. We want to ensure that you get a reservation in the classes you requested in Oct – Dec first, so that remains our immediate focus. Thank you.

Annual Web/Distance Learning FY Transition-Web Enrollment:
Effective 0700 EST 28 Sep 2015 to 0700 EST 1 Oct 2015, the registration for DAU/FAI Distance Learning (DL) Courses and/or Continuous Learning (CL) Modules will be blocked from all users in order to make the transition from FY15 to FY16. This means that you will not be able to register/enroll for a DAU/FAI DL Course and/or CL Module during this period through the ATRRS registration sites. However, the DAU Virtual Campus (https://learn.dau.mil) will continue to be available during this period for you to work on the course(s) that you are enrolled in. If you're dropped or failed from a DL Course and/or CL Module during this period, you will need to wait until 0700 EST 1 Oct 2015 to reapply or register. Please plan accordingly.

The Acquisition Training Office has simplified the process to apply for DAU courses. Supervisors are now notified that their employees have applied for training, and supervisors do not have to log in to ACQ Now DAU to approve applications.

If the employee meets the requirements and has selected the cost effective location, the application will be processed, and supervisors will be notified if the employee is registered, wait-listed, or disapproved.

If the employee should not attend this course on the dates selected above, supervisors will instruct the employee to withdraw or cancel the application.

05/13/2015

FY2016 schedule of resident courses will be available for student registration beginning on 14 May 2015. Applications will be processed by priority and class start date. Priority one applications will take precedence.

03/02/2015

On 27 February 2015, ATRRS and all ATRRS modules were taken offline while a security issue was investigated. We expect ATRRS will be available in a limited capacity after 3/3/15. When ATRRS becomes available, users will be able to access ATRRS modules coming from a .MIL DOMAIN ONLY. As an alternative, users may also access ATRRS through a Virtual Private Network (VPN) access point originating from a .mil domain (i.e. CITRIX).

Air Force DACM changes Continuous Learning (CL) Policy: Beginning 28 July 2014, Air Force Acquisition Coded members will measure their continuous learning point requirement using a fixed, two year period. The start date will be the date of your last CL achievement, and the end date will be two years from that achievement date. For example, if your last achievement date was 3 June 2013, then your CL due date for achieving 80 points will be 2 June 2015. Every two years, a new CL period will begin. Points earned above the 80 point requirement will not carry over into the next two year period. Newly assigned members will have two years to achieve 80 points, and their start date will be the date they are assigned to a coded position. Air Force Acquisition coded members will no longer roll into a new CL period after achieving 80 CL points. See more at https://www.my.af.mil/gcss-af/USAF/content/cloverview.

(UPDATED WEEKLY) For FY2014 classes, the Air Force has filled all allocated quotas in ACQ 315, ACQ 370, ACQ 450, CON 234, CON 251, CON 260B, CON 360, EVM 262, LOG 211 and PMT 203.This means that regardless of whether a class has available seats or not, any AF student who applies will be waitlisted. Even if "the system shows that the class has seats", those seats belong to other service components. If the other services do not fill their seats by 65 days prior to the class start date, waits will roll in (by priority and approval date) until the class is full.

Important Information for Students Traveling to or from DAU Resident Classes:

Since furlough days have been reduced from 11 to six days, students traveling to DAU resident classes on or after 19 August 2013 must amend their orders and all reservations so that they travel to class on the day before the class start date, and return home no later than the day after class ends. DAU will continue with the compressed class schedule through the end of FY 2013.
Please confer with your supervisor and local DTS administrator for help with amending your orders. The ACQ Now Help Desk can be reached at [email protected]

The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) has updated the training schedule for classes that fall within the furlough period. Please see http://www.dau.mil/pages/StudentFurlough.aspx

Air Force members travelling to a DAU resident course during the furlough period will follow the guidance below for travel days.

1) If possible, adjust your furlough days, with the concurrence of your supervisor, to fall outside the span of the DAU class.

Examples:
For a one week class, take of your two furlough days in the first or second week of the pay period. This will allow you to travel to DAU on the Sunday before the Monday class start date, and return to your duty station on Thursday evening or on Friday of that week. Travel compensatory time may be earned.

If you are attending a two week class that crosses pay periods, take your two furlough days in the week before and week after, and travel to the class on Monday, and return to your duty station on the second Friday.

If you elect to return to your duty station on Thursday evening following a two week class, please ensure your flight on the last training day departs no earlier than 6:30 pm.

2) If you are scheduled to attend a DAU class that falls entirely inside of a pay period, please take your furlough days on the Monday of the beginning of the pay period and Friday at the end of the pay period. Travel to and from the class on the Sunday before the class start and return to your duty station on the Saturday following the class end date. Travel comp time may be earned.

Currently, the Air Force has no authority to direct travel on a furlough day. If we receive any additional guidance from Air Force A1 or OPM, we will notify you immediately. Civilian employees are entitled to full per diem if they are at in a TDY status during a furlough day.

3) Air Force members attending a class in the local area will follow the furlough schedule provided by DAU.

05/30/2013
