Hardin County and the HCFD have been hosting the Annual Tennessee River Training Weekend since 2008.

Hardin County and the Hardin County Fire Department have been hosting the Annual Tennessee River Training Weekend since 2008. This event takes place at the Hardin County High School and offers a wide variety of courses for brand new firefighters to seasoned firefighters. The HCFD works with sponsors and vendors to help keep costs of course affordable for rural volunteer departments in West Tennessee and the surrounding tri-state area. The Tennessee River Training Weekend (TRTW) serves 250-300 firefighters from at least 20 different departments.
