Meet Ranger Bones. He is only joining us for the month of October, but he is still a valued member of the Sea Rim State Park staff!
Ranger Bones is originally from Livingston, Texas; he has lived the majority of his life as a wandering Halloween decoration, but he wanted to visit the Gulf for the first time in his life this October and came down here to Sea Rim. Ranger Bones has been so helpful here at the park! Learning to drive the tractor, helping Ranger Laura with Junior Rangers, helping visitors at the window, and so much more!

🚫No ash-producing fires, such as charcoal or firewood, are allowed, including on the beach
🚫Please make sure you bring an alternative method for cooking your meals, such as s'mores, using propane or butane, including on the beach

It’s ! Let’s talk about one of our parks favorite smallest reptile residents! 🐢
One of our smallest turtle residents, the Eastern Mud turtles can be found swimming around our marshes! See if you can spot their heads poking out of the water.

Beach is now open to day use and camping

ATTENTION BEACH GOERS! Beach camping and vehicle access are closed until further notice due to coastal flooding from Hurricane Isaias.

Please be aware that you can still walk on the beach using our Central Boardwalk but driving and camping are closed until further notice.
