Oakland Township is proud to support Natalie True, a local Girl Scout, who created a Flag Retirement Box as a community service project.

The box, located on the first floor at Oakland Township Hall, provides a respectful place for community members to bring worn, damaged, or tattered American flags for proper retirement.

This project is a wonderful example of how young people can make a positive difference in their community while honoring the flag and the values it represents. We appreciate the thought, effort, and commitment that went into bringing this project to life!

If you have an American flag that is no longer serviceable, we invite you to use the Flag Retirement Box at Township Hall.
