Quincy Public Library provides unrestricted access to information in many formats and from many sources. In addition to the library building at 526 Jersey Street, library materials are available at the QPL Kiosk at County Market at 48th Str

eet, via delivery for homebound patrons, or through one of QPL's many digital options. Residents of the city of Quincy, and the townships of Melrose, Riverside, Ellington, and part of Gilmer are eligible to receive a QPL library card at no additional cost to the user. Monday mornings are movie mornings at Quincy Public Library! 🍿🎬

Every Monday from 10 AM to 12 PM, children and tweens are invited to the Children’s Theatre for a fun movie experience featuring favorites like Sonic the Hedgehog, How to Train Your Dragon, Zootopia 2, and more throughout the summer.

Bring your friends, grab a seat, and enjoy a movie at the library!

The book "Dancing with our Tribe" Potawatomi in the new Millilumen was presented to the Quincy Public Library on behalf of the FLC by President, Joe N. FLC has hosted a picnic for the Pottawatomi every 5 years beginning in 2008 on their comemrative Trail of Death. In appreciation they presented us with this book.

In observance of Memorial Day, the Quincy Public Library will be closed on Monday, May 25.

As we remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country, we encourage you to visit the display in the Illinois Room. Featured materials include research papers about Quincy’s involvement in the Spanish American War presented by the German Village Society, a binder on The Adams County Memorial Korean War, and more.
