Don’t forget you can view important district dates—like breaks, holidays, and early release days—on the district school calendar:

📅 https://woo.puyallupsd.org/about-us/school-calendar

No School Today, May 22, or Monday, May 25. We hope everyone has a wonderful extended weekend break.

A reminder that all PSD schools will be closed on Friday, May 22, (scheduled as a make-up day, if needed) and Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.

On Friday, May 22, the ESC (district office) will operate under normal hours. The EdTec HelpDesk will operate on reduced hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Both locations will be closed on Monday, May 25, in recognition of the Memorial Day holiday.

Summer Food Benefits Available for Families

Students may be eligible for two programs that help cover grocery costs when school is out: SUN Bucks and Harvest Bucks.

SUN Bucks provides summer grocery benefits to families who qualify for free or reduced-price meals or other income-based programs. Benefits are loaded onto an EBT card and mailed beginning in June. Families should ensure their mailing address is up to date and may need to complete a meal application if they have not done so this year.

Harvest Bucks offers additional funds for fruits and vegetables when using an EBT card at participating stores and farmers markets. Some families will automatically qualify based on their existing benefits.

These programs help ensure students have access to healthy food all summer long.

✏️Our 4th & 5th graders officially kicked off SBA testing this week! We are so proud of the hard work, focus, and positive attitudes our students are showing each day. 💙

A special shoutout to the amazing posters (and the creative minds behind them) and encouraging messages around campus that helped keep smiles on faces and confidence high throughout testing! 😊🎉

Families, thank you for partnering with us to help students do their best. Here are a few simple ways you can support your child during testing season:

⭐ Make sure they get a good night’s sleep
⭐ Send them to school with a fully charged computer each day
⭐ Encourage a healthy breakfast and plenty of water
⭐ Arrive at school on time to help students start the day calm and prepared
⭐ Offer encouragement and remind them to simply do their best — we already think they’re amazing!

Here’s a look at our upcoming testing schedule:

* April 27th-May 1st: 4th and 5th Grade
* May 4th-8th: 3rd Grade and Quest
* May 11th–15th: 4th, 5th and 6th Grade
* May 18th -21st: 3rd, 5th, 6th Grade and Quest

This week our kindergarteners had some very special visitors from Central Pierce Fire & Rescue! The firefighters spent time teaching our students all about fire safety in a fun, engaging, and memorable way.

A big THANK YOU to Central Pierce Fire & Rescue for taking the time to invest in our students and help keep our community safe. ❤️👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

Happy Earth Day! 🌎💚

A huge thank you to Ms. Culver’s 1st grade class and Mrs. Darby’s 3rd grade class for helping take care of our campus today! These students rolled up their sleeves and worked hard to clean up, showing what it means to be responsible and respectful of our environment.

We’re so proud of their efforts and the positive impact they made. Way to go, Eagles! 🦅✨
