October check-in! ✨As our shelter is continuously growing and adapting to our communities needs and we wanted to take a minute to pull back the curtain and share what the last few months have actually looked like behind our doors!
Adoptions are up across the board, which means more space opening up for the next animal in need and even more families made whole. On top of that, our volunteers have logged a massive number of hours this quarter. From walking dogs in the early mornings, to sitting with nervous cats, helping with transports, and all the laundry and dishes. Our volunteer crew is a major backbone of daily operations and we are so grateful for them!
The reality of this growth is that our facility is constantly operating at high capacity. Taking in more animals means our daily workflow is even busier, but our staff is still dedicated to ensuring the best quality of care for every pet that comes through out doors. Every single day brings new challenges, but being able to adapt and serve the pets showing up at our door is exactly why we exist.
This progress belongs to everyone who follows our stories, shares our posts, brings in supplies, keeps an eye out for animals in need, and of course our incredible staff, volunteers, fosters, and donors . We are proud of what this quarter brought, and we are ready for what comes next!
