Last week, we celebrated students who were nominated by their teachers for being outstanding model citizens and positive members of our school community. Way to go, Rapids! We are so proud of you!

Today concludes the first TMS Cares donation drive. We received well over 1,500 donations, exceeding the goal of 1,000 donations! Thank you to our student leaders for collecting and counting items, parent volunteers for organizing the Care Closet, and to our amazing Rapids for your participation. Every donation helps us care for our Tumwater community 🩵.

TMS Cares Day 1 - Done and dusted!

Thank you to those who brought in donations! We are 280 items closer to our goal of 1,000 donations 👏.

Student leaders will continue to collect donations at the front and back entrances every morning this week.

This weekend - decide as a family what you want to donate & set your donations out so you don't forget them on Monday! Leaders will be collecting donations at the front and back doors. We are excited to see our thermometer grow!

8th grade Drama went on a field trip to Portland Center Stage to see a student matinee of Kate Hamill's adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, to wrap up a study about the theatrical convention of Comedy of Manners and The Importance of Being Earnest, as well as having two Portland Center Stage teaching artists come to Tumwater for a workshop, including the performer that we saw play the part of Mr. Darcy.

Portland Center Stage's education initiative allows for middle and high schools in the area to see shows that they otherwise might not have access to.

We had a group of 33 students, and 3 parent chaperones who attended, and we hope to attend more of these trips throughout the year!
