🚑 National First Responders Day 🚒🚓

Perry Port Salem Rescue thanks the EMS personnel, firefighters, law enforcement officers, and dispatchers who answer the call when our communities need them most.

To our PPS members—thank you for the shifts you cover, the family time you sacrifice, and the care you provide to our neighbors. Your dedication makes it possible for PPS to be there when our neighbors need us.

We’re also grateful to the families, neighboring departments, and community members who support us. Every response is a team effort, and we’re proud to be part of that team.

Join us in thanking a first responder!

As our communities go back to school, we will once again see those yellow school buses out on the road. Remember to follow the laws and come to a complete stop when approaching or following a school bus with their red lights, stop bars and gates activated. Let’s keep this 2026-2027 School Year Safe!

To our brothers and sisters in blue: Happy National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. 🚑🤝🚓

In our line of work, we know that "Scene Safe" starts with you. Whether you’re holding the perimeter, directing traffic so we can work, or being the first on the scene during a crisis, we couldn't do our jobs without you.

We see the sacrifices you make and the weight you carry. Thank you for being our partners on the pavement and for keeping us—and our community—safe every single day.
