⚠️Notice from Mayor Clem to Village residents⚠️

Hello port Jefferson Residents!

Just a heads up. This month the owners of or the property owners / renters on which all unlicensed and or inoperable motor vehicles are located will receive citations to municipal court.
I expect this to begin mid month (April ) and continue beyond as necessary. This issue has gotten out of hand and the village council and myself have received numerous complaints.

Following or concurrent with this, citations will be issued for other zoning violations including, trash, debris, unsecured animals or disturbing animal smells or noises, and unsafe buildings or conditions.

I was very much hoping that having to resort to citations and fines would not be necessary but current conditions leave me no choice.
