💙 Every ID Tells a Story

At Homeless ID Project, we meet people at some of the hardest moments in their lives—but we also get to witness incredible resilience, determination, and hope.

This week, a client walked into our office after months of trying to replace their documents alone. Without an ID, they couldn’t apply for work, access housing opportunities, or move forward with critical services.

Now, they’re one step closer to stability.

Sometimes the first step out of homelessness isn’t housing or employment—it’s identification.

That’s why this work matters every single day.

We’re grateful to partner with Cholla Behavioral Health, an organization dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of individuals and families across Arizona.

Many of the clients we serve are navigating complex challenges—housing instability, trauma, and barriers to care. Access to behavioral health services is a critical part of long-term stability, and partners like Cholla help make that possible.

At Homeless ID Project, we focus on the first step—helping people obtain the identification they need to access services like behavioral health care, housing, and employment. Together with partners like Cholla Behavioral Health, we’re building a stronger, more connected support system for the people we serve.

Without identification, many individuals face barriers to employment, housing, healthcare, and stability. At Homeless ID Project, we help remove that barrier by providing replacement IDs and vital documents to individuals working to rebuild their lives.

Last year alone, we helped provide 14,907 critical documents across Arizona.
