Sarahs House Emergency Shelter dedicated to helping and protecting victims of domestic violence and homelessness.

Sarah’s House was established in 2001 as a non-profit organization dedicated to providing emergency care, shelter, food, clothing and other basic necessities to women and their children. These individuals have found themselves in the frightening position of having no safe place to sleep or eat and few options for immediate assistance available. Since its founding, Sarah’s House has provided real t

ime help to many homeless, unemployed, or underemployed single women or women with children.

​There is no situation more frightening, dangerous and seemingly hopeless for a woman than to be alone on the streets of a large metropolitan area with no place to go. The challenges facing a mother with children to care for is even direr.

Gala Committee

The purpose of the Gala Committee is to help plan, support, and execute the Holiday of Hope Gala in a way that maximizes impact, strengthens community engagement, and fuels the mission of Sarah’s House.

This committee exists to:
• Help secure sponsors and underwrite the event
• Expand awareness by connecting new people to the mission
• Support planning and ex*****on of the event experience
• Serve as ambassadors in the community
• Volunteer and help lead key roles the night of the event
• Help ensure the gala reaches its fundraising goals

This is not just about putting on an event.
It is about creating a night that moves people to action and directly supports individuals and families stepping into new beginnings.

Donation Update for Our Community 💜

As we work to reorganize and reset our retail space, we will be pausing general donation intake through April 1, 2026. This will allow our team time to clear and organize existing inventory, deep clean, and strengthen our systems so we can continue serving families well.

We will still be accepting furniture donations during this time.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support, generosity, and care our community shows every day. Your donations make a real difference, and this short pause helps us steward them more effectively.
