🚨FROM SHOPPING TO CUSTODY🚨

Deputies were patrolling the 6100 block of Telephone Rd. when they were flagged down by CVS employees regarding a theft.

After receiving descriptions of the female and her vehicle, deputies checked the surrounding area and located her at a nearby business, where she was identified as Evelyn Sanchez.

The stolen merchandise, valued at over $400, was recovered, and Sanchez was taken into custody for Theft.

🚨DUMPING TRASH, PICKING UP CHARGES🚨

Deputies were dispatched to the 7700 block of Easthaven Blvd. after a male was seen leaving furniture along the roadway.

What may have seemed like a quick way to get rid of some unwanted furniture ended up being a little more complicated. Deputies followed up on the incident and were able to identify the person responsible as Craig Ortega.

A warrant was issued, and Ortega was later apprehended and taken into custody for his role in the illegal dumping.

🚮 The side of the road isn’t a landfill. Help us keep our neighborhoods clean by disposing of unwanted items the right way.

🚨 DWI ARREST | SOUTH SAM HOUSTON TOLLWAY 🚨
On September 4, 2026, HCCO Precinct 2 Toll Road Deputies were actively patrolling the South Sam Houston Tollway when they observed a vehicle failing to maintain a single lane of traffic.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop and, upon making contact with the driver, observed signs of impairment. A DWI investigation was initiated, and Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs) were administered. Based on the investigation, deputies determined the driver was impaired and unable to safely operate a motor vehicle on a public roadway.
The driver was identified as 20-year-old Daiman Salvador Morales. Mr. Salvador Morales provided a specimen that indicated a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) nearly twice the legal limit.
Mr. Salvador Morales was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center, where he was booked without further incident.

🚔 101 MPH SPEEDING STOP LEADS TO DWI ARREST 🚔
On August 28, 2026, Harris County Constable Precinct 2 Toll Road Deputies were actively patrolling the S. Sam Houston Tollway E. when they observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Deputies confirmed the vehicle’s speed at 101 MPH in a posted 65 MPH zone.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Richard Le. During the investigation, deputies observed multiple signs of intoxication.
A DWI investigation was conducted, which resulted in Le’s arrest for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). He was transported and booked into the Harris County Joint Processing Center without further incident.
⚠️ Speeding and impaired driving are a dangerous combination. Slow down, drive sober, and help keep our roadways safe.

ARREST – CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE/CRIMINAL TRESPASS

On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, an Pct. 2 Deputy was dispatched to a suspicious person call for service in the 4100 block of Colgate St.

Upon arrival, deputies located a male trespasser who was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. The male was placed under arrest and booked into the Harris County Jail.

Great work by our deputies keeping our community safe. 🚔
