Our Gray County 4-H Council members had a great meeting today! In addition to conducting their regular business, members completed Lesson 1 of Ricochet Leadership, exploring the Five Dimensions of Leadership.

Through a fun, hands-on activity, members practiced communication, cooperation, problem-solving, and teamwork while discovering what it takes to be an effective leader.

We love seeing our 4-H members grow their leadership skills while having fun along the way!

A special congratulations to Emma Darling and Kyle Kephart, who participated in the Food Show! Our youngest 4-H members had the opportunity to share their dishes, practice speaking with judges, and experience the fun of Food Show without competitive placings. 💚

A big THANK YOU to our volunteer judges, Foods project leaders, and supportive families who helped make this year's Food Show a success!

We are proud of every participant and wish our 4-H members the best as they prepare for District Food Show on November 16 in Amarillo!

Recognizing Outstanding Support for Gray County Extension!

During today's Extension Program Council meeting, we had the pleasure of recognizing three individuals for their outstanding contributions to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and Gray County 4-H!

🏆 Rebel Fulton – Outstanding Service Award, recognizing her dedication, advocacy, and efforts to expand Extension educational opportunities.

🏆 Redonn Woods – Friend of 4-H Award, recognizing The Pampa News for its continued support and promotion of our Gray County 4-H program.

🏆 Theresa Daniels – Outstanding Leadership Award, recognizing her dedication and leadership in helping develop and grow Leadership Pampa.

We are incredibly grateful for these individuals and the difference they make in our community!

STATE FAIR OF TEXAS SUCCESS!

Congratulations to Gray County 4-H members Braun and Harper Lashmet on their outstanding accomplishments at the 2026 State Fair of Texas!

🐑 Reserve Grand Champion ORB Long Wool Ewe – State Fair of Texas Open Show

🐑 Reserve Grand Champion ORB Medium Wool Ewe – State Fair of Texas Junior Show

Both Braun and Harper had the opportunity to show these award-winning ewes!

We are incredibly proud of these two young exhibitors and the hard work, dedication, and commitment they put into their livestock projects. Bringing home TWO Reserve Grand Champion honors from the State Fair of Texas is quite an accomplishment!
