🦟 Mosquito Spraying 🦟

The City of Pampa will begin spraying residential areas for mosquitoes as needed throughout the season.

If you do not want your property sprayed, 📞please contact us at 806-669-5760 to be added to the do-not-spray list.

The City uses Biomist 30+30, which is dispersed through an ultra-low-volume sprayer to help control mosquito populations. In addition, RAZOR PRO is being applied in street areas to help control unwanted grass and weeds.

🏡 Residents can help reduce mosquito activity by:
✅ Keeping grass and weeds trimmed
✅ Emptying standing water from containers around your property
✅ Draining children's pools when not in use
✅ Removing water from old tires, buckets, flowerpots, and other containers

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day from the City of Pampa.

City offices will reopen tomorrow at 8:00 am.

This morning, May 19, at approximately 12:30 am, Pampa Fire Department was dispatched to 2600 N. Hobart, the Lakeview Apartments, for a structure fire. The call advised there was one occupant inside the structure, unable to exit.

Upon arrival, fire personnel found heavy smoke and flames coming from the North side of building B, a two-story 10-unit facility of the apartment complex. During the primary search, it was discovered that the reported trapped individual, with the help of neighbors, was able to escape through the bedroom window. All other occupants at the complex at the time of the fire had evacuated.

Pampa Fire Department responded with eight (8) units and fifteen (15) personnel. They were assisted on the scene by Hoover Volunteer Fire Department, who responded with four (4) units and twelve (12) personnel.

The fire was brought under control, allowing one unit and personnel left on watch to ensure the fire did not rekindle due to the high winds and construction of the building.

Final all clear was given at 8:42 am. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
