Federal officials say the nation continues to face a shortage of air traffic controllers as air travel demand grows.

The University of Oklahoma is working to help meet that need through an FAA-approved training program that allows qualified graduates to move directly into on the job training after graduation.

Students in OU’s School of Aviation train using simulators that recreate real-world air traffic control scenarios.

“When the students start working the problems and the aircraft are calling them, it becomes real to them really quick,” said program director Stephen West.

4 Years this Month. May we Never Cease till every Baby’s Life is held Precious and Protected.

This is a Big Day. As I've processed the weight and work of this Supreme Court decision over the last several hours since the announcement... to even say "Life Altering" in this case is an understatement. To say "Life Saving" doesn't contextually express the Gravity. The Work and Prayers of Millions for decades today were answered in Oklahoma. Yet with this pivot; the work continues and expands.
Since Roe v. Wade in 1973, 63 MILLION babies (Nationally) have been sacrificed on the alter of choice. Today, with a return to sensibility by a Conservative Majority Court, the Lives of PreBorn children will be Protected in our State.
Now our continuous work to surround Mother's with resources to carry, birth, raise or allow for adoption options must Grow.
As people of Faith and as Oklahomans; it is Cruial that we commit to the worthy work of supporting programs and clinics (like Evany Clinic, Mustang OK) as they continue the Mission of saving the lives of Babies and Moms both Before and AFTER birth.
As a Pro-Life Christian American, I believe it is our God Given responsibility to Defend the Life of a Child both Before and After birth. If we as Oklahomans will Stand together, We can build a Stronger Future for All of our Kids and Mothers throughout this Great State.

Grateful for Today. Challenged for Tomorrow. Every Child's Life Matters. May We as Oklahomans coalesce around our kids of this Great State, both those born and those to-be born in our Tomorrows, with the Hope and Opportunities that come from being Born in America. May God Bless our Children, their Families and the Work of our Hands.

Today, We Remember…

Memorial Day isn’t just about barbecues, hikes or lake days… it’s about Remembrance. 🇺🇸

It’s about honoring the brave men and women who gave everything… their lives, their futures and their dreams… for the Freedoms we enjoy today.

Standing in places like the Normandy American Cemetery, the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Weatherford, or at the Minute Man National Historical Park where militia men gave their lives helping spark the Revolutionary War… we are reminded that Freedom has a Price… and some Warriors paid it in Full.

This Memorial Day, may we pause to Remember the Brave Soldiers and Sailors who gave their last full measure of devotion.

May we Remember the Gold Star Families who continue to carry the weight of that sacrifice.

May We The People live in a way that Honors their Legacy… not just today, but every day.

May God continue to Bless America and Oklahoma… because they gave All.

Our Prayers and thoughts are with his Family and all of the FFA Students and Community that he Impacted.

Today, the Oklahoma FFA family mourns the passing of former State Supervisor of Agricultural Education and Oklahoma State FFA Advisor, Jack Staats.

Mr. Staats dedicated his life to agricultural education, FFA, and the development of young people across Oklahoma. His leadership, vision, and servant heart left a lasting impact on countless students, teachers, and communities.

We are grateful for his many years of service and the legacy he leaves behind. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Staats family and all who were blessed to know him.

Great start to the day at Prairie View Elementary honoring Mrs Kati Sutherland, the 2025–2026 Site Teacher of the Year. It is incredibly important for the future of our students that we shine a light on the amazing teachers who educate our children and grandchildren.
