He is risen! Happy Resurrection Sunday! “He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” Matthew 28:6
May we remember the reason for today and celebrate the promise it brings. Happy Easter from my family to yours!

Humbled, thankful and blessed.

Since Friday evening I’ve been trying to come up with the words to show my appreciation to everyone in district 22. The 3 words above are the ones that keep coming back to me.
Humbled by the continued support, prayers and guidance from you all.
Thankful for friendships that have been built over the last couple of years.
Blessed to continue representing district 22 and you all at the state capitol.

Those three words may seem simple but they are the only words I can come up with to show my appreciation. The last 2 years have been an indescribable honor for myself and my family. I look forward to continue building on the relationships that shape how I legislate and ultimately represent our district. As we move into the next term please remember to reach out anytime I can be of assistance.

Time has gotten away from me over the last several weeks and I just realized I should give an update on what’s been going on at the capitol. Things are moving at a quick pace this session, we’ve started floor work and have 1 more week before legislation changes chambers.
I’ve been blessed to have had 2 phenomenal pages during the past few weeks that were hard working and excited to embrace learning about the legislative process. I want to thank everyone for your texts, calls and emails; staying engaged helps me when it comes to deciphering how legislation will affect district 22.
In addition to the pages we hosted I want to highlight a couple of things that were reminders of why I’m blessed to have the opportunity to represent district 22.
OYE is happening as we speak and I had the opportunity to show a sheep on Monday night at the legislative show. My mentor, Houston, from Tupelo, was a great young agriculture enthusiast that reinforced to me why we have to support the next generation of agricultural producers. Ag folk are the greatest people on earth and I’m thankful to call myself one.
Also, I was presented the “defender of biblical business” award from the Christian Employers Alliance. It’s an honor to receive this for a number of reasons but I view it very simply as recognition for standing on biblical principles and how they should be implemented in our daily business lives.
As always please reach out to me or my office. It is my honor to help in any way that I can, enjoy the photos.

Week 3 of the legislative session is now behind us and boy was it a busy week. Policy committee deadline was Thursday, and now we move into oversight committee work. In addition to the deadlines, the week was made better because of all the folks from district 22 that were in the building this past week. I had the pleasure of speaking to FFA students from schools throughout the district, the members of Leadership Murray County, as well as recognizing the national champion bass fishing team from Murray State. Arguably the best part of my job is having the opportunity to see and talk with hardworking men and women from district 22 that are making a difference in our communities and I look forward to continuing to do what I can to move HD22 forward. Please enjoy the photos and if there’s anything I can do to help don’t hesitate to reach out…

Congratulations to Sulphur Public Schools. As the statewide recipient from ACT for growth and professional learning award, we can share in the knowledge that the award is well deserved. Enjoy the video as it is much better at showing the hard work and dedication that went into receiving these accolades.
