A Year of Excellence: Patients Rate Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton Perfect for 4 Straight Quarters (DVIDS)

Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton (NHCP) achieved its fourth consecutive five-star rating in the TRICARE Inpatient Satisfaction Survey (TRISS) for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026.

The national survey, which began in 1999, evaluates how beneficiary inpatient satisfaction at military treatment facilities compares to civilian healthcare benchmarks across the nation. Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers and screening is the reason.
If you're a woman age 21 to 65 and a TRICARE beneficiary, your cervical cancer screening is covered. A Pap test takes about 3 to 5 minutes. The peace of mind lasts years.
Talk to your primary care manager or send your team a message through the patient portal, https://my.mhsgenesis.health.mil/, about whether you're due.

Reminder!
NHCP will be a drop-off location for the Camp Pendleton MCCS-sponsored National RX Take Back tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., at the hospital's drive-up west entrance (towards the ocean).

The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for misuse of medications. Proper disposal of prescription drugs helps prevent inadvertent consumption by youth, deters misuse by teens and adults, and stops medication from entering the water supply through improper disposal.

On October 23, 1983, two su***de truck bombs struck buildings in Beirut housing U.S. and French peacekeepers during the Lebanese Civil War. The first exploded at the U.S. Marine Corps barracks at Beirut International Airport, killing 241 U.S. service members — 220 Marines, 18 sailors, and 3 soldiers — along with 6 civilians and the two attackers. The second bomb hit the French “Drakkar” barracks nearby, killing 58 French troops. The total death toll was 307, making it the deadliest single-day loss for the U.S. Marine Corps since the Battle of Iwo Jima in WWII. Today, we remember those killed and wounded on that tragic day ... They came in Peace.
