🎉 Our 2026–2027 Longfellow Teacher of the Year is Whitney Stewart! 🎉

From day one at Longfellow, Ms. Stewart has been a leader, an innovator, and a model of teaching excellence. She holds herself and her students to high standards, approaches challenges with a problem-solving mindset, and generously shares effective strategies that help her fellow teachers make progress.

Her impact extends far beyond her own classroom. As a teacher mentor, ELA department chair, conference presenter, and member writer for the Oklahoma Academic Standards for English Language Arts (OAS-ELA) committee, Ms. Stewart is shaping instruction and elevating the teaching profession at both the local and state levels.

Whitney Stewart embodies what it means to be an exceptional educator and a dedicated teacher leader. She models excellence and a student-centered approach every single day, and we are BEYOND proud to have her represent Longfellow Middle School! Join us in celebrating this well-deserved honor! 🦁💚

How fortunate I am to be the principal of Longfellow Middle School! 💚🤍

Our students, faculty, staff, and community make this school such a special place to be. Today, my amazing teachers and staff surprised me with treats and heartfelt, personal notes of appreciation. What a thoughtful reminder of the incredible people I get to work alongside every day!

I love the treats, cherish the words, and absolutely adore my people. 🥹💚 Being part of the Longfellow family is a gift, and I am so grateful to lead this wonderful school community.

Your time and support gave our students the opportunity to spend the Mingas they earned by demonstrating Longfellow PRIDE:

Programs like the Pride Store are successful because our families and community continue to show up for our students. We truly appreciate every volunteer who helped students shop, managed checkout and kept everything running smoothly!
