Today, Star Trek turned 60! So naturally, in the halls, we "boldly went where no one has gone before" and gave everyone the Vulcan Salute! 🖖 Saying "live long and prosper" to each other as a friendly hello and farewell. Not only that, but students got back in the classroom today too after a long weekend. They were getting back into the groove of learning all kinds of fun stuff. Even Mr.Spock would have to admit that what they were learning was "Fascinating!"

Hey Cougars families, today is our fundraising 🍕 day! Order 🍕, and a portion will be donated to help out the IRV! Additionally, tomorrow night is a parent/guardian night for wrestling. If your Cougar is interested in wrestling, be sure to put that meeting on your calendar!

Recently, in Discovery Science, our 6th-grade Cougars were introduced to physics and engineering concepts as they built their own model roller coasters! Mrs. Thompson/Dillon's Discovery Science class competed with Mr.Sted's Discovery Science class to see who could create the best coaster! We think we might have some future engineers in our midst! Great job to all our Cougars on their designs!

How cool is this! One of our 7th-grade Cougars earned her 1st degree black belt this weekend! Mr.Moakley and Mr.Morris were on hand to cheer our Cougar on! Great accomplishment, Cougar, and way to go!!!!

Spirit Week Day 4! Students and teachers alike wore matching outfits to celebrate tomorrow's Crosstown Clash. Some students took this spirit idea further by wearing the same color clothes and/or types of garments to twin. That's one way of thinking outside the box! Norman High Junior Named to USA Development Debate Team 🇺🇸🎤

Big congratulations to Norman High School junior Brogan Jones, who has been selected by the National Speech & Debate Association to represent the United States as a member of the USA Development Debate Team!

This highly competitive opportunity recognizes some of the nation’s top emerging debaters and will give Brogan the chance to compete at some of the highest levels of debate during the upcoming year.

Brogan’s selection is a tremendous accomplishment and a reflection of his hard work, preparation and dedication to the sport. We are incredibly proud to see a Norman Public Schools student representing our district and our country through the power of debate.

Congratulations, Brogan! We can’t wait to see what’s next! 👏
