Before Silicon Valley and the apricot orchards, the region where Mountain View resides was w**e country. From the first vines planted at Mission Santa Clara in 1798 to more than 100 w**eries operating across Santa Clara County by the 1890s, the South Bay was once one of California's most productive w**e regions.

Join us for a presentation by fourth-generation Mountain View resident and museum professional Julie Bly DeVere on Sunday, November 1. She will present a lively look at the w**emakers, vineyards, and forgotten history that shaped our local landscape long before the tech industry arrived.
