Are you tired of mowing, watering, and fertilizing your lawn? Would you like to use less water and create a more sustainable landscape? Is your lawn dead, but you don’t know what to do next?

Come hear Master Gardener Martha Carpenter explain how to downsize or eliminate your lawn and replace it with low-water ornamentals, grasses, and ground covers on Saturday, June 13. We’ll discuss how to assess your needs and evaluate your site, and we’ll provide suggestions for hardy plants and grasses suited to our climate.

Registration is recommended: MountainView.Libcal.com/event/14959846

You and your baby (0-2 years old) are invited to Smart Start Babytime starting Monday, June 8! This is a special program for babies and their caregivers that blends stories, songs, and early play with guidance from child development specialists from Stanford Medical School. Caregivers will gain practical tips, build confidence, and have the opportunity to ask questions in a warm, supportive environment designed for your baby’s earliest learning.
