Halloween fun at our senior centers!

Our Milton Senior Center and Alpharetta/Crabapple Senior Center came together this week for a spooktacular Halloween party, and what a great time everyone had! From creative costumes to lots of smiles and laughter, our members made the celebration extra special.

We thought we’d share a few snapshots of the fun and creativity!

A beautiful day for a picnic at Morgan Falls! Our Sandy Springs Senior Center participants enjoyed time outdoors, fellowship, and fun with the help of volunteers from Care Solutions Inc. They even brought a game for everyone to enjoy and treated our seniors to ice cream cones for dessert!

Thank you to Care Solutions Inc. for spending time with our seniors and helping make the day extra special.

Bringing Generations Together Through Art! 🎨

The Crabapple Senior Center was excited to welcome Ellie Charles, a student at Alpharetta Science Academy, who led a special art class as part of an intergenerational study program she and another student developed.

We are honored to be the first location for their project and love seeing young people create opportunities to connect with and learn from older adults. Ellie and her fellow classmate will be returning with another project, and we look forward to welcoming them back!

Growing Friendships at the Roswell Senior Center!

Our participants had a wonderful time getting their hands dirty and planting flowers and vegetables with the Roswell Garden Club! The ladies from the Garden Club also treated everyone to refreshments and helped make the day extra special.

One participant even received a special gift—a “Head Gardener” hat! He was so proud of his new title that he went around showing it off. He now takes his gardening duties seriously, making sure to water the plants whenever he attends the center. 🌿

A big thank-you to the Roswell Garden Club for sharing their love of gardening, spreading joy, and helping our garden grow!

Fun, fellowship, and good food!

Our Dogwood Senior Center participants enjoyed a fun-filled day with friends from the Auburn Senior Center. The seniors played card games, pool, and table games before sitting down to enjoy a delicious fish fry lunch. It was a wonderful day of laughter, friendly competition, and connecting with friends!

Thank you to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office for visiting the Auburn Senior Center to share important information about spam calls, phone scams, and how to protect yourself from fraud! Our participants enjoyed learning helpful tips to recognize suspicious calls and stay safe.

We appreciate our local law enforcement for taking the time to educate and protect our seniors!

Remembering, Honoring, and Never Forgetting.

Our Crabapple Senior Center group visited Newtown Park to walk the memorial and experience the Wall That Heals, honoring the service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans and remembering those who were prisoners of war or missing in action.

One especially moving moment was seeing Ellis L. salute at the memorial honoring those who served in the war he served in himself. Gayle M.'s reflection in the Wall That Heals was another powerful reminder of the personal stories and sacrifices behind the names.

We are grateful for the opportunity to remember, reflect, and honor those who have served our country.
