🎨🌎 Bringing Mattland to Life! 💙🧡

After reading Mattland, our Chargers put their creativity to work by building their own versions of Mattland! Using clay and paint, students created landscapes featuring a variety of landforms and bodies of water. 🌊⛰️

What a fun way to connect reading with hands-on learning! Our students brought the story to life while exploring geography, creativity and the world around them. 👏

Way to go, Chargers! We love seeing learning come to life! ⚡💙🧡

🏫 Ohio School Funding: What’s Behind the Numbers?

How Ohio funds public education affects more than school district budgets. It also affects local property taxes, school services and the communities that support our students. 💙🧡

Our shared flyer examines changes in Ohio’s school funding system, including the state’s share of education costs, the shift in local tax contributions and how the current funding structure affects school districts.

📊 Take a few minutes to review the information and learn more about the connection between state funding, local property taxes and the future of public education in Ohio. An informed community starts with understanding the facts and asking important questions about how our schools are funded.

📚⚡ Chargers Connecting With Local History! 💙🧡

Our seventh grade Advanced ELA students are teaming up with the Berlin Heights Historical Society to explore the stories that shaped their community! With guidance from historical society volunteers and their teachers, Miss Kuns and Mrs. Lindner, students are researching local history using primary and secondary sources.

This collaboration brings learning beyond the classroom as students build research skills, analyze historical information and work alongside community members who help preserve Berlin Heights’ history. We can’t wait to share more about this exciting project! 👏

⚡ Transparency Tuesday⚡

School fees cover about 25% of the cost of instructional supplies.

🔹 Daily Supplies: Fees pay for consumable materials like pens, paper, and art supplies.

🔹 Learning Programs: Fees help cover important student workbooks and educational subscriptions that need to be renewed each year.

🔹 Teacher Support: These materials give teachers what they need to deliver engaging lessons.

🔹 Student Success: Having the right instructional tools helps every student learn and grow.
