On Friday, April 24, 2026, the Village of Milan held an Arbor Day Tree Planting Ceremony. We were assisted in planting a White Oak, near the US 250 and Lockwood Road intersection, by Mayor Pamela Crosby and Edison Birthplace Director Cindi Rospert. The significant of this tree is that it is designated the America 250 tree for our community. The White Oak was the gold standard for Milan shipbuilders and pioneers. It symbolizes strength, longevity, and our local heritage. Mayor Crosby read an Arbor Day Proclamation at a recent Council Meeting held on April 22, 2026.

The Village of Milan is accepting applications for the position of full-time Laborer with the Street Department. A full job description and application may be obtained at 11 S. Main Street, Milan, Ohio 44846, Monday – Friday between 8 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or online at www.milanohio.gov.
