🚆🌳 Miami-Dade is becoming a model for how we connect transit, parks, and neighborhoods.

Today, I joined members of thUrban Land Institutete National Councils for a conversation on transit-oriented development (TOD) and hoThe Underlinene is inspiring cities to rethink public space.

🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️ What was once underutilized land beneath Metrorail is becoming a 10-mile linear park connecting communities, creating safer paths for pedestrians and cyclists, and making public transit more accessible.

🌎 Leaders from across the country are looking at what we’ve built here in Miami-Dade as a model for their own communities.

On National First Responders Day, we thank the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers, and rescue teams who serve Miami-Dade County every day.

🚪Inclusion should open doors to businesses, experiences, and employment.

Today at Loews Coral Gables Hotel we joined International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards to recognize the hotel’s Cognitive Care Accreditation and launch the South Florida Cognitive Care Zone.

We also partnered with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau to launch our Neuroinclusive Workforce Map! 📍

🐝 What’s all the buzz about inVillage of Pinecrestt ?

We had a bee-autiful time at Friday’s Track or Treat at Evelyn Greer Park! 🎃

Our District 7 tent was a buzzing beehive, where we handed out honey sticks and seeds for native pollinator plants. 🌼🍯

Bees and other pollinators help keep South Florida’s native ecosystems healthy, and we can all do our part to protect them!

Thank Pinecrest Parks & Recreationtion for bringing our community together! 💛

🕯️ From making candles to learning how to run a business, students aThe Rising Start Foundationon in Palmetto Bay are gaining real entrepreneurial experience.

Founded by Maria Alejandra Mejía, The Rising Start Foundation helps young people with autism and other developmental disabilities build practical skills, confidence, and independence.

Their handcrafted candles were even available for sale at our recenChamber SOUTHTH Neuroinclusion Task Force panel!

This is how meaningful neuroinclusion creates opportunities to learn, work, and participate in our local economy. 💙

🌳 Protecting South Florida’s native ecosystems takes more than planting trees.

At historic Camp Mahachee in Coral Gables, we joinedGirl Scouts of Tropical FloridaaCity of Coral Gables - Governmentt and theCoral Gables Garden Clubb to help restore the camp’s natural habitat.

By removing invasive species and replanting native trees and vegetation, we’re helping restore biodiversity, protect local wildlife, and preserve this important green space for future generations. 🌱

Thank you to the Girl Scouts and our community partners for getting their hands dirty and doing the work!

💚 Today, we joinedChamber SOUTHH to launch the Neuroinclusion Task Force during National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

Our panel focused on how South Dade businesses can take practical steps toward neuroinclusive hiring through employer training, workplace resources, and stronger partnerships with local government.

Thank you to our municipal and our ChamberSOUTH partners for helping build this regional coalition. 🤝

The goal is fewer barriers, more employment opportunities, and greater independence for neurodivergent adults.
