The City of Miami Beach is collecting critical supplies — including tents, hygiene products, tarps, canned food, first‑aid kits and more — to help support communities impacted by the earthquake in Colombia. Your donation can make a meaningful difference.

All City of Miami Beach Fire Stations are accepting donation items starting Friday, August 14 through Monday, August 31 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Fire Station 3 | 5303 Collins Avenue
Fire Station 4 | 6880 Indian Creek Drive

All donations will be provided to Global Empowerment Mission, which is also accepting volunteers and financial contributions.

Join us for the unveiling and ribbon‑cutting of Miami Beach’s reconstructed LGBTQIA+ crosswalk, which will be accompanied by a commemorative plaque memorializing the history and a new rainbow bench.

Less than six months after FDOT’s overnight removal of the LGBTQIA+ crosswalk at 12 Street and Ocean Drive, the city is reassembling all 3,606 colorful pavers just steps away in Lummus Park.
