🚜👷 Learning by Doing at MCCA! 🐯

Students in the Heavy Equipment Operations class at Metter College & Career Academy are getting hands-on experience using equipment simulators!

These simulators give students the opportunity to practice operating different types of heavy equipment, including:

🚜 Bulldozer
🏗️ Excavator
🚛 Dump Truck

Using simulation technology allows students to develop important skills, learn equipment controls, practice proper operating techniques, and build confidence in a safe and controlled environment before stepping into the real thing.

This is career-ready learning in action! Our students aren't just learning about careers — they're developing skills that can help prepare them for opportunities after graduation. 🧡🖤

📣 **Wee Cheer Parents — Important Friday Night Information!** 🧡🖤🐅

Our **Wee Cheer participants will join MHS Tiger Cheerleading on the sidelines** Friday night to cheer on our Tigers! Please review these important details before arriving:

⏰ **Check-In:** 6:20–6:40 PM
📣 **Cheering:** 6:45–7:05 PM
👕 **Attire:** Wee Cheer T-shirt with shorts or a skirt. Bows are welcome!

**Important Reminders:**
• Parents are responsible for their child until check-in begins at 6:20 PM.
• **A parent MUST remain at the field for the entire performance. Children may not be dropped off and left.**
• Wee Cheer participants should enter through the **right side of the ticket booth**. One parent may enter free with the provided ticket.
• After the performance, children will be picked up **along the baseball fence near the orange tent**.
• A parent must **sign their child out with a cheer parent** before leaving.
• The parent listed on the registration form should pick up the child unless prior arrangements have been made with a cheer coach.

Please be patient during dismissal as our cheer staff works to make sure every child is safely reunited with their parent.

Today, the Lady Tigers Softball Team was able to with a 15-0 win over St. Vincent’s Academy. Maddie White threw a 1 hit shut out and Zailee Thurman led the offense with 2 hits and 5 RBI. The Tigers will be on the road next week at Jenkins on Wednesday and Calvary on Thursday.

Parents and families of Metter High School and Metter College & Career Academy students are invited to attend our Annual Title I Meeting!
