8th-grade Physical Science is heating up! 🧪

This week, they've studied how molecules are arranged in solids, liquids, gases, and plasma, and the differences between conduction, convection, and radiation! After watching numerous demonstrations and examples, by the end of this module, they'll be able to confidently say, "I can identify and explain..." inserting each lesson they've explored.

September is Attendance Awareness Month! Each day of the school year counts. As we enter the 2nd month of the school year, we can proudly report a very small number of absences from the teachers and students for the last few weeks!

In appreciation, Dr. Choice, Ms. May, and Dr. Jackson visited each class to celebrate Random Attendance Day! 🎉 Each student and staff member present received a treat today, just for attending! A small gesture for a big impact and big deal- keep up the work! The celebration will continue throughout the year, we can't wait to see what's in store next month-we'll be here to see!

Wilkinson County Schools would like to inform families that staff and students at our Elementary/Middle School campus briefly evacuated the building in response to a fire alarm.

After the campus was assessed, no fire, smoke, or other hazards were identified. All students and staff have safely reentered the building, and normal operations have resumed.

We appreciate our students and staff for responding appropriately and following established safety procedures.
