On this Memorial Day, I join our nation in honoring and remembering the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to the United States of America. 🇺🇸

Their sacrifice represents the highest form of duty, honor, and selfless service; values we strive to uphold every day at Georgia Military College.

It is my privilege to share this Memorial Day tribute video, featuring a moving performance by the GMC Glee Club, comprised of members of the GMC Corps of Cadets. Their voices reflect the respect and gratitude we hold for our fallen heroes, and the commitment of our cadets to carry forward their legacy.

May we never forget those who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms, and may we always live in a way that honors their sacrifice.

Congratulations to GMC's newest Second Lieutenants in our U.S. Army!

After completing two years in Georgia Military College’s ROTC program, our cadets officially took the oath to serve as 2LTs in the U.S. Army, continuing GMC’s proud tradition of developing leaders of character, service, and integrity.

We were honored to welcome back Georgia Military College alumnus Class of 2000 and Commander of the Georgia National Guard 48th Brigade, Colonel Nate Stone, as our guest speaker. His words of encouragement and leadership provided an inspiring reminder of the responsibility and opportunity that come with serving others.

To our newly commissioned officers: congratulations on this incredible achievement. Your hard work, discipline, and commitment to leadership have prepared you for this moment, and I am proud to celebrate this milestone alongside you and your families. The future of leadership is bright because of young men and women like you!

This week, I had the incredible honor of celebrating my first commencement ceremonies as President of Georgia Military College!

From our cadets and student-athletes to our in-person commuter students, online graduates, and those joining us virtually, it was a privilege to recognize the hard work, perseverance, and dedication of the Class of 2026 alongside their families, friends, faculty, and supporters on our Main Campus in Milledgeville.

Commencement is one of the most meaningful traditions at GMC because it represents hope, opportunity, and the bright futures ahead for our graduates. I am deeply grateful to have shared in these celebrations throughout the week and proud of every student who crossed the stage.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. Your leadership journey is just beginning, and I cannot wait to see the impact you will make!

Over the past five years, Georgia Military College has been proud to build meaningful international partnerships through our International Cadet Program and our recent visit to Taiwan was an incredible opportunity to strengthen those relationships even further.

During our trip, we visited our longtime partners at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) and the Army Academy of the Republic of China (AAROC), where we had the privilege of reconnecting with cadets who previously studied at GMC and meeting the next group of cadets who will join us this fall. Seeing the impact of this program firsthand was truly special.

We also had the opportunity to visit the Republic of China Air Force Academy and begin building what we believe will become another outstanding partnership for our Corps of Cadets.

One of the highlights of the trip was renewing our Memorandum of Understanding with AFIT, ensuring this important partnership continues for years to come.

These partnerships are about far more than exchanges between schools — they are about leadership, cultural understanding, and preparing cadets to lead in a globally connected world. I am grateful for the warm hospitality shown to us throughout Taiwan and excited for the future of these relationships.

During National Police Week, I want to take a moment on behalf of Georgia Military College to express our deepest gratitude to the men and women of law enforcement who serve our communities with courage, integrity, and unwavering dedication.

At GMC, we are built on the values of leadership and service, and we are especially mindful of those who live out those values every day in the line of duty. We honor the sacrifices made, we remember those who gave their lives in service, and we sincerely thank all who continue to protect and serve.

Happy Mother's Day!

We had the privilege of hosting Baldwin County Schools Superintendent, Dr. Kristina Brooks, as our guest speaker for our Mother's Day Ceremony. She shared an inspiring message of togetherness, and we are honored to have her share those important words with our students, faculty, and staff. Dr. Brooks and Baldwin County Schools are a valued partner at GMC and a necessity in our community.

To all the moms and mother-figures, we celebrate you today and always!

This afternoon I had the opportunity to witness the tradition of Change of Command in our Corps of Cadets. Our 147th leadership welcomed our 148th and I could not be more proud of these servant leaders.

Over this last year, I've gotten to know our outgoing Regimental Commander Ase Knight and Regimental Command Sergeant Major Aiden Singleton. They did an incredible job leading our Corps this year, and I'm confident in the two that have been selected to lead next year. Regimental Commander Nicholas Brimlow and Regimental Command Sergeant Major Zachary Gerbrick will take our Corps to the next level.

Congratulations to our Cadets. I'm looking forward to the future of the Corps at Georgia Military College!
