McAlester Public Schools will hold in-person Centralized Enrollment for all PreK–12 students for the 2026-2027 school year at the Lucy Smith Center on the MHS Campus at 1 Buffalo Drive. McAlester Public Schools will NOT be enrolling students online for the 2026-2027 school year. All students MUST enroll before they can attend school.

In-Person Enrollment Dates & Times:
Tuesday, July 21 | 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Wednesday, July 22 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Thursday, July 23 | 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

To ensure parents/guardians have plenty of time to finish the enrollment packet, our final entry for the day will be 45 minutes prior to the end of the scheduled time.

Every parent/guardian must bring a Valid Government Issued ID and enroll their student in-person.

Please bring the following documents for each student (including returning students):
Birth Certificate
Current Immunization Record
Proof of Residency (utility bill or rental lease)
Tribal Membership Card (if applicable)
Legal Documents (if applicable)

The​ MPS Bookmobile will be running Monday through Thursday each week beginning June 8, 2026, serving all MPS students who have completed PreK–12th grade.

Students of all ages are invited to visit Bookmobile stops throughout the summer to check out and return books. The Bookmobile offers a wide variety of reading materials, including picture books, chapter books, graphic novels, nonfiction, young adult titles, and Spanish-language books. We have something for every reader!

Students may return books at any Bookmobile stop and continue checking out new books all summer long. All books will be due back at the start of the new school year.

Please refer to the attached schedule to find a stop near you and plan your visits. Encourage your child to keep reading all summer and make the Bookmobile part of your weekly routine! See less

Mrs. Hampton’s class enjoyed a visit from Ms. Stanford and her service dog, Skipper today. She shared her book “Skipper Goes Kayaking” and Skipper entertained the students. 🐶💓🛶
