Did you know it costs $42 per day per person at Hope House?

That daily cost covers:
• Safe shelter
• Food and household
essential
• Transportation
• Case management and
support

Today, we are serving 12 women and 11 children — including 3 pregnant mothers.
That’s $966 a day to make sure they are safe, fed, supported, and moving forward.

At Hope House, many of our women have never been street homeless — and that’s something we are deeply thankful for. Because of generous hearts in our community, women and children have a safe place to go before they lose everything.

This morning in devotion we were reminded that every need has and will be met by God. He is our source!

Today we decided to reject fear and limited thinking.

We prayed and thank God for his blessings, knowing all is well. ❤️

🌻 Thursday at Hope House 🌻
This week, one of our moms is getting her kids enrolled in school — a big step toward stability and a fresh start. She’s also started going to counseling, working hard to heal and grow. 💛

Another mom will spend the day taking care of some past legal matters so she can move forward in her life. It’s not easy, but she’s doing it — with courage and determination.

These are the quiet victories that happen every day at Hope House. Real women doing the hard work to build better lives for themselves and their children.

Our ladies are out working, studying for their GEDs, volunteering at Shared Blessings, and tonight they’ll be heading to church. Every day they’re taking steps toward a better future — one filled with faith, purpose, and hope. 💛

More Than Just A Shelter....

Hope House of McAlester is more than just your typical women’s shelter. Hope House provides the women and children who stay here the opportunity to grow and become self-sufficient members of their community. The women who stay here are held accountable to find employment, attend counseling sessions, church, and eventually find housing. The environment at Hope House is one that encourages the women to keep looking forward, and encouraging them through Gods word. Our founding scripture is Jeremiah 29:11...”For I know the plans I have for you”, Declares the Lord. “Plans to give you a hope and future. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you”. We encourage the women to build long lasting relationships with those in the community and even those they encounter at the shelter.
